Nomenclature, Classifications and Definitions.
This critical analysis reveals several facts.

1. The nomenclature does still stick to the false assumption that ΕΡΗ -Gestosis is one disease (Toxemia, Nephropathy)

2. Preeclampsia is outmoded, wrong, described by the Board of the American Academy of Obstetricians and Gynecologisst (AAOG) as misnomer and Ieads to erroneous results when comparing publications ( see Link 8 )

3. Edema is the only sign of a possibly endangered pregnancy. It can be detected by the patient herself and therefore is allimportant.

4. Proteinuria is dangerous. again because it is not to be detected by the patient herself .It might indicate severe renal diseases which can only be diagnosed by postpartal examination
(see LIΝΚ 15)

5. Hypertension is the least important symptom. Its detection is questionable in poverty stricken areas. Often it is impossible to repeat the readings at a Iater date.
